My expertise lies at the intersection of community and product, focusing on solutions that can evolve as communities grow.  I've helped create user experiences that are beautiful, scalable, and capable of working equally as well for an individual as they will for millions of people.  

 
 

Kickstarter: New Creator Onboarding

In 2013, we set out to revamp Kickstarter's new creator experience from the ground up, with the goal of simplifying the onboarding experience, scaling customer engagement operations, and unlocking new capacity within the team. We launched a fully redesigned product that cut project approval time by almost 90% for 75% of projects while increasing access to our community team throughout the campaign lifecycle.

 

Brainly: AI/ML Integration and New Moderation Tools

To ensure the safety and integrity of 350MM users on Brainly each month, I led our Product, Community, and Trust & Safety teams in a complex initiative to create all new moderation tools for the Brainly community. Using a combination of in-house and third-party AI/ML tools, we launched a new moderation platform with the ability to categorize, prioritize, and automate removal of harmful content.

 

Brainly: Community hub 

I led a cross-functional team to design and launch Brainly’s Community hub, a place where students, teachers, and parents could learn more about Brainly, our values, and how to become part of the community. The Brainly Community hub was also localized in 11 different languages, ensuring accessibility to all of our global community members.
